Diane von Gunten

March 28, 2010 • 4:00 p.m.
Kelly Walsh High School Auditorium

Diane was born and raised in Southern California where she studied piano at Cal Poly Pomona and performed in various venues in the Los Angeles area. She has also resided in Detroit, Michigan, where she played and sang in Lee Iococca’s Renassaince Club.

Diane has since moved to Casper, Wyoming where she has enjoyed many artistic adventures. She has worked with the Casper College Department of Theatre and Dance in various capacities; most recently she composed the score for Bertold Brecht's GALILEO performed in March of 2008. Diane has performed with Inda Eaton, and other local Casper artists. In performances for ARTCORE, she showcases her own music and performs covers of well-known artists. Performing with the Casper City Band, writing musicals for the Casper Children’s Theatre and performing as Truvy in STEELE MAGNOLIAS with Stage III have been enjoyable pursuits.

Diane founded and has produced an annual fundraiser; "Seven Daffodils, A Salute to Gifted and Courageous Women," for Casper cancer patients through the Wyoming Medical Center and the Angels Program. Her music is original, fresh and thought provoking. Her style reflects the artists she grew up listening to in the home of a big band performer, as well as her modern musical interests of today.
